First Friday in the Oregon District Street Performing
7:00 P.M.- (Link) SMAG will be performing various works
that were designed for the streets. These works will include a painting piece in which the
dancers will paint a giant canvas with their bodies, several works about homeless characters
and various solos. The works will take place between Brown Street and Wayne Ave. on
Fifth Street in the Oregon District.

SMAGMARE/Oregon District

SMAGMare is a collaborative effort
between SMAG, Sandstorm Belly Dancing Troupe and ZOOT Theatre. The show is a
haunted house/nightmare that depicts a brutal murder that, due to the nature of the crime
and the fact that no one lived in the residence any longer, creates a haunted house. Inside
the house are ghouls, witches and a vicious warlock, who is actually the killer that
escaped so many years ago. This work takes place on the street in the Oregon District
next to the Trolley Stop. (Maybe an address link for Trolley Stop) As a part of
SMAGMare the Trolley Stop features a drink special.

An Urban Nutcracker, Dayton Convention Center

An Urban Nutcracker is a fun
and entertaining version of the traditional Nutcracker. The
work depicts urban life and takes place in a city apartment
for Act 1, the Party Scene in the traditional Nutcracker. Act
2 takes place at Club Blackberry(Sugarplum Land) where
Katrina is introduced to a host of Urban characters. This
show is appropriate for all ages and is one you won’t want
to miss.

and duets for the Valentine season. Evoking memories of love and feelings of love, this
series of works is a must see for the newlywed or for spouses who have been together.
